FRIDAY, 8th MAY 2020 P.C. : 1 Heard learned counsel for the applicants. 2 By this application, the applicants seek their enlargement on bail/suspension of sentence pending the hearing and final disposal of the aforesaid appeal being Criminal Appeal No. 303/2020. 3 It appears that the applicants have been convicted by the learned Special Judge for the offences punishable under Sections 3(1)(3) (10), 3(1)(11) r/w Section 6 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989; Section 7(1)(d) of Protection of CivilSQ Pathan 1/3 ::: Uploaded on – 08/05/2020 ::: Downloaded on – 09/05/2020 06:03:59 ::: LD.VC.OCR.25.20.doc Rights Act, 1955; Sections 354, 355, 147, 148, 323, 504, 506(2) r/w Section 149 of the Indian Penal Code and the maximum sentence imposed on the applicants is five years. 4 The appeal has been admitted by a separate order today and the same is not likely to be heard in the immediate near future. The sentence imposed on the applicants is a short term sentence. It is not in dispute that the applicants were on bail during trial and have not misused or abused the conditions of bail/liberty granted to them. 5 Considering the aforesaid, the application is allowed and the applicants are enlarged on bail and their sentence is suspended, pending the hearing and final disposal of the appeal, on the following terms and conditions : ORDER
(i) The applicants be enlarged on bail on furnishing P.R. Bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- each, with one or two sureties in the like amount;

(ii) The applicants to deposit the fine amount in the trial Court within eight weeks from today;
